This is a great idea for your guests, so they won’t be waiting while you have your photos done, (and a moment for them to rave about how amazing the ceremony was!) Cocktail parties are tailored-made at LikuLiku. Maximum numbers for a cocktail reception would be 30 guests.
The Wedding Dinner Reception
The party starts at approximately 7.00pm. LikuLiku is an all meals inclusive resort and can cater up to 30 Guests for your wedding group. If you have more than 30 Guests you would need to book the entire resort. Wow! Imagine your own luxury private island resort to share with your wedding guests. Once again LikuLiku can tailor make your dream wedding menu. There is no standard procedure to the night so we can tailor make it to suit your requirements. Something different for you and your group to celebrate your Wedding. Every Friday evening, the Resort management team throws an end of week cocktail party. Named Tavaka Boso or “Meet the Boss”, it is a chance to get to know some of the people who live and work on the Resort. A kava ceremony takes place and a light assortment of canapés is served to whet your appetite for the feast that awaits.
To follow, "Fijiana" hosts a Fijian Lovo, which is a traditional form of cooking in the South Pacific where meat, seafood and vegetables are wrapped in coconut and banana leaves and then buried with hot stones and coals to cook slowly in an underground earth oven. Enjoy succulent dishes and delicious local seafood, with fresh tropical salads and fruits.
On Tuesday nights the chefs stoke up their BBQs ready for you to select your favourite cut of local meat and seafood. On Sunday evenings is "Magiti" night (Fijian for 'Feast' and pronounced Mang-iti) this is along the lines of the Fijian family feast. With undertones of sharing, community and village life, the Magiti is served "share style" and is themed with a different local ethnic culture each week.
