Just the Two of You
If you’re planning a romantic getaway to an island paradise; and you don’t want to be with anyone else but each other, then the private 5 course champagne dinner for two after the ceremony is included in your wedding package is perfect. Waves gently roll onto the shore and candlelight flickers in soft breeze, can you imagine anything more intimate?
The Wedding Reception
If you’ve opted for a wedding with your friends and family in attendance; then a reception can be organised. The party can be held as an afternoon lunch in the breezy restaurant or nightly dinner option with either a buffet or set menu (minimum numbers apply). Your wedding reception takes place at the Old Chopra right on the beach with your own bar.
As you are located on an island the Celebrant, Photographer and Videographer travel to the Island to capture your special day; therefore many weddings at Plantation Island are performed in the afternoon to give them enough time to get back to the mainland on the last boat. For a sunset ceremony, you can opt to pay for their overnight accommodation and meals.
There is no standard procedure to the day/night so we can tailor make it to suit your requirements. A sample procedure would go something like this:

You can also choose to have your reception at Anandas Restaurant, which is located a short walk from the main resort and offers Alfresco dining menu options and prices upon application.
The intimate Lomani Resort is just for the adults. You may have your dinner party here at the restaurant. Dine on the deck with your friends as you watch the last rays filter through dusk, it’s a sensual experience only among friends. There is a maximum of 12 adults permitted. The Cake
Plantation wedding cakes are quite large and may easily feed your wedding party (plus the entire resort staff!) the 3 tiered cakes will cater for about 80 people. There is a variety of flavors to choose from such as chocolate or vanilla. If you’d like your cake to be as special as your day, then you can request a specific flavour/design/colour and we can do our best to have it made for you.

The Drinks
The easiest and cheapest idea is to run a bar tab which will be charged to your room account. If you do this you can also select what sort of alcohol is included in the tab. See below drink menu prices

The Entertainment
Plantation Island has nightly entertainment for you and your guests to enjoy. Soothing island sounds played by the resident string band will lull you into a fantasy during dinner.
There are always the ones who love a boogie, so you can dance the night away with the resorts resident DJ pumping out the tunes of the Disco 70’s right up to the latest tracks. Held right next to the bar with a wide open dance floor.
If you are looking at something a little more private; you can hire a PA system with ipod docking so you can bust a move to your own sounds. Available for FJD$100 (AUD$120) for the night, a microphone is include so guest can sing their heart out with karaoke!
