The Wedding Reception
The Shangri-la can arrange a wedding reception for any group and menus can be tailored to individual needs. This resort has many many options for you to peruse over, just read on for some ideas to inspire your perfect party…
Just the two of you
A dinner for two at Kalevu Restaurant is included in your Seaside Chapel Wedding Package. Or you may prefer something a little more private and upgrade to the Takali Cabana overlooking the beach, where the chef can prepare a little something special.
The Cocktail Reception
This is a great idea for your guests, so they won’t be waiting while you have your photos done, (and a moment for them to rave about how amazing the ceremony was!)
We’ve listed some sample menu’s below so you can get an idea of what’s included. It is possible to tailor make the menu’s to cater for guests needs, please note these pre-dinner cocktail menus are designed as a pre-dinner cocktail not as a replacement for a dinner party.
Menu 1 – Cold canapés
FJD$30 (AUD$17) per person
Menu 2 – Hot & Cold canapés
FJD$45 (AUD$26) per person
Menu 3 – Seafood canapés
FJD$55 (AUD$3137.50) per person
You can choose a selection of cocktails from the drinks menu or have an open bar on consumption. You can also choose to use one of the drinks packages. See the Drinks section below.
The Wedding Dinner Reception
The party starts at approximately 7.00pm. A set menu means you will be enjoying beautiful food at either the Kalevu or Kalevu Verandah or Takali Pool Deck.
A private marquee can be specially set up for an intimate party, opt for the buffet for a great night among friends and family.
There is no standard procedure to the night so we can tailor make it to suit your requirements. A sample procedure would go something like this:

Cocktail Style Dinner Reception: (Min. 25 Guests)
Cold & Hot Delicacies from FJD70 (AUD$40) per person
Set Menus: (Min 10 Max 50 Guests)
Reception Location: Kalevu or Kalevu Verandah or Takali Pool Deck
10 Set menus have been designed for this group size.
Six x 3 Course Menus (one menu is Vegetarian) from FJD$71.50 (AUD$41) per person
Three x 4 Course Menus (one menu is Vegetarian and another is Gluten free) from FJD$93 (AUD$53) per person
You may also tailor your own menu for your wedding reception at the Kalevu Restaurant, Veranda or Takali Pool Deck locations.
Buffet Menus: (Min 30 Guests)
Buffet menus are a great option for larger reception and ideal for an outdoor setting

Set-up fee:
There is an additional set up fee of FJD$15 (AUD$9) per person for a private dinner with table cloths, chair covers, flower centerpieces and private area.
The Cake
The round standard cake is about 4kg and is suitable for up to 40 guests. Its plain white icing can be decorated at a little extra cost.

If you would prefer to dance the night away to your own sounds and bring your ipod along, the resort has the sound system with music setup at a cost of FJD$200 (AUD$166) from 6.00pm until 10.00pm this is only available at certain venues
