It makes the perfect setting for a wedding. When staying at the Residence you will have your own personal butler for your stay. Make sure to ask them to run you a bath whilst you are out to dinner – you’ll come back to your room with a beautiful warm bath, rose petals and tea light candles – what more could you ask for?? How about……. On the day you are due to leave make sure to ask your butler to pack your bag – yes you go to breakfast and come back to a perfectly packed suitcase – We Love It!!
The Rooms
The decoration of the 135 oversized rooms and 28 suites is an inspired blend of sobriety and elegance. Reliving the magnificence and splendor of a yesteryears palace, a butler is assigned to each room and suite. He will unpack and pack your luggage, run a bath, take care of your laundry and ironing service (2 items ironed per person upon arrival free of charge) The final touch to perfect the refined atmosphere in the rooms during the evening is the few drops of Ylang Ylang that are delicately placed on ceramic rings warmed by the bedside lamps.

The 135 luxuriously appointed rooms, each with a private balcony or terrace, have a king size or twin beds, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, desk, living area, Satellite TV with in-house movie channels, a fully stocked personal bar and a direct dial telephone with its own voice mail system. The name of the room pretty much says the types of views you’ll be getting, although every view is a pretty one at The Residence!!

The 28 luxurious suites, each with air-conditioning and ceiling fans, are divided in 4 categories: The “Garden view junior Suite" enjoy an adjoining area while the " Garden view Senior Suites" have their own separate living room. Both feature satellite TV with in-house movie & music channels, tea & coffee facilities. Dvd/Cd player and direct dial telephone with voice mail system. The Terrace comes complete with chairs and table. Sun-beds are placed also in the Senior suites. Both categories are perfect for families. Optional complimentary facility, computer with internet access.
The Colonial Suites
The "Colonial Ocean View" and “Colonial Ocean Front” Suites are elegantly furnished in a refined colonial style and enjoy a sumptuous four-poster bed. The living room hosts a computer with free internet access, tea and coffee facilities, mini bar, satellite TV with in-house movie channels.(one TV set is also placed in the bedroom). Dvd/Cd player and direct dial telephone with voice mail system.
Both categories have a spacious terrace furnished with wooden chairs, table and sun-beds. The Colonial Ocean Front Suite boasts breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean.
All the Suites are appointed with spacious marble bathrooms with a separate bathtub and shower cabin, a hairdryer and expansive wardrobe and electronic safe and offer luxurious La Prairie amenities. The Colonial Ocean Front Suites benefit from a second bathroom with additional toilet and shower.
The Restaurants & Bars
The hotel prides itself on its cuisine, where native produce of the island is blended with the diversity of fine recipes from around the world offering a symphony of subtle aromas, tastes and colours which can be savoured in the hotels three restaurants.
The Dining Room
A sumptuous breakfast offers both Western and local specialties, as well as a selection of freshly squeezed fruit juices. The atmosphere of the restaurant and cuisine moves to an a la carte menu in the evening. The heady spices of Mauritius are combined with international recipes, producing a fusion of enticing flavors.

The Verandah
The lunch menu features a choice of exciting light dishes served around the pool overlooking the sea. An impressive selection of toasted sandwiches, oven cooked pizzas, generous salads and home made ice creams are offered.

The Plantation
The marriage of a spectacular oceanfront setting with an original approach to the freshest seafood and Creole cuisine has made this restaurant one of the favorites of the island. At night, guests will enjoy live Sega dancing performances and original local entertainment several times a week.

The Spa - The Sanctuary

The Planters Kids Club
Picture a mansion on a sugar cane plantation nestled in a wondrous tropical park and you have the Planters Kids Club. Children form 3-12 can romp around the clubs 400 square meters, free of charge, enjoying the warmth of the house or the fun of the playground in the surrounding gardens. For the children’s delight a creative and efficient team of professionals will be on hand to supervise a wide choice of activities.
The program includes treasure hunts, snorkeling classes, sports competitions, body painting, the Internet, bikes and picnics, glass-bottom boat tours, theme days, pony rides and much more. At night the Planters Kids Club also offers evening entertainment, fashion shows, plays, films, or activities dedicated to the magic world of fairy tales.
