The Cocktail Reception
This is a great idea for your guests, so they won’t be waiting while you have your photos done, (and a moment for them to rave about how amazing the ceremony was!)
We’ve listed some sample menu’s below so you can get an idea of what’s included. It is possible to tailor make the menu’s to cater for guests needs.
The Amari puts together a special 1 hour pre dinner drinks and canapés selection as below:

Johnnie Walker Red Label, J&B Rare, Famouse Grouse, John Jameson, Smirnoff, Borzoi, Gordon’s, Gibson’s, Beefeater, Captain Morgan, Bacardi Light.
Deep fried Seafood cake, Apple salad with crabmeat, Minced chicken salad with rice, Chicken tortillas, Beef rolls with vegetables, Salmon rolls with tuna, Bread and cheese sticks and mixed nuts with herbs
The Wedding Dinner Reception
The party starts at approximately 7.00pm. Opting for the set menu option means you will be enjoying delicious food at Merante Restaurant in their open air dining room. Or have a relaxed buffet with your guests beside the pool or beach.
There is no standard procedure to the night so we can tailor make it to suit your requirements. A sample procedure would go something like this:

Wedding Dinner Package
The Amari have put together a wonderful dinner package that will be a sure fire hit with everyone, it includes 30 minutes of snacks and cocktails before the dinner is served

The Cake
The standard size cake is 5 pounds and it is suitable for 8-10 guests. The cost to upgrade the cake is THB1,200 (AUD$42) per pound.
Yummy choices include Vanilla, Butter and Chocolate. The resorts cake maker is located just outside of the resort so if you have a special design in mind we can certainly do our best to have it custom made in for you.
The Drinks
The cost of wine in Thailand will blow a hole in your pocket! The government places a 400% tax on their wines so what you would pay for a $10 el cheapo bottle in Oz, will set you back around AUD$80 in Thailand. You can bring your own wine and pay a corkage of THB770 (AUD$27) per bottle. But be careful – you are only allowed to bring in 1 litre of alcohol per person into Thailand. Quick tip: Buy your bubbles before you go and hand out to guests to put in their luggage.
