Western Wedding Package AUD $3499 per couple
Package Includes:
- Fruits, flowers, newspaper and deluxe amenity kits in room
- Flower garlands and tropical welcome drink upon arrival
- Professional guidance and service of non-religious celebrant (or Christian pastor upon request)
- Western wedding ceremony at the beach
- Official Registration (if requested)
- Decorated location
- Photographer during the entire ceremony: 36 pictures in a picture album
- Professional Hair and Make-up artist assisting the bride prior to the wedding
- Wedding dinner and cutting of the cake
- Bride’s flower bouquet
- One bottle of sparkling wine
Wedding Schedule:
15.00 hrs : Beautician for the bride.
Following the western traditions, you and your beloved share your last kiss as two names have a teary goodbye and separate into different rooms. Brides are assisted by a professional hair and make up artist, make it as glittery or as low key as you please – just make it WATERPROOF! The groom and his men can kick back with a beer and shake his nerves before suiting up.
17.00 hrs: Hae Khan Maak ceremony with long drum
The “ Hae Khan Maa” or Long Drum Parade; (troupe of colorful local Thai in traditional dress), meet the groom and ceremony members at the Front Desk. Grooms will follow the group of dancers and drummers through the hotel grounds and towards the awaiting bride. Upon arrival, the groom is blocked at the door by the leader of the parade. Following ancient Thai traditions, the leader will ask for a dowry, the money is prepared by the hotel and given to the room in advance. The bride will then exit and join the complete party on their way down to the ceremony.
17.20 hrs Non-religious (or religious) Western ceremony at the Beach Hut
A celebrant (or priest upon request) assists in blessing the couple and marrying you in an informal (or religious way) by exchanging of rings and vows.
17.30 hrs Rod Nam Sang Ceremony
The final part of the beach hut celebration is the “Water Blessing” or “Rod Nam Sang”. Friends, family and members of the hotel team wish you good fortune, by pouring water over your folded hands. This provides you with a private moment between you and the well-wishers.
18.00 hrs Cocktail at the bar and photos taken
Friends and family can recharge their batteries with a refreshing selection of cocktails and snacks in our modern bar. But its not party time yet; additional photos in perfect settings are taken at the beach, garden and rooms. A professional photographer accompanies you throughout the day and will shoot plenty of pictures to add to your album of special memories.
19.00 hrs Dinner at the Merante Seaside Dining
A delicious 4-course menu awaits you on our restaurant terrace, looking out to the majestic Gulf of Thailand. We assist you in cutting your own wedding cake and toasting to the newly-weds!
