Wedding destinations helped organize the most fantastic day of our lives, we could not have asked for anything more wonderful, a perfect way to start our life together as a married couple. Wedding destinations recommended Sun Rocks in Santorini which lived up to it’s reputation of outstanding service from staff, rooms which looked out over the ocean where you can sit and watch the famous sunset.
We arrived at Sun Rocks and were greeted with a glass of Champagne and a wet towel to refresh ourselves. We had decided to walk from the bus stop with our backpacks (recommend taking taxi), the heat of the afternoon was beaming down on us so the champagne was a welcome.
That evening I met with Maria (Wedding Planner) and we discussed the finer details of the day; from flowers, cake, champagne, time of day and music, hair and nails. Maria was very organized and ‘I felt confident that all would be done to make our day perfect’.
The big day arrived and we relaxed by the pool until 4pm, sun baking and drinking cocktails. We returned to the room to get ready and Maria worked her wonders and turned the wedding area (visible from pool) into one of the most delicate, romantic scene I had ever seen.
The ceremony took place and photography completed and we drank champagne until the sunset. We had dinner booked in the private dining room, and experienced some of the finest cuisine in Greece. We returned to our room to find the chaotic mess we had left all cleaned up with flowers and more champagne on ice.

Planning a wedding is stressful enough so when we decided that we wanted a wedding overseas, we were worried that it would be far more complicated as we would have to deal with overseas governments and agencies. ‘Wedding Destinations’ took all the hassles away and enabled us to have a stress free wedding and honeymoon, something that does not happen with a wedding!
All aspects of our trip were catered for to our every need and we couldn’t be happier with the exceptional service that Lindsey provided.

THANK YOU!!! The wedding was awesome, everything was beautiful. We had so much fun. All the staff at Sun Rocks and Sphinx where extremely helpful.
Our wedding took place on Saturday 6 September 2008 in the town of Fiorestefani in the Greek Island of Santorini. Fifty-five of our closest friends and family were in attendance. The ceremony took place at sunset in the stunning Sunrocks Hotel. It really was a magical event with the guests being treated to champagne before and after the ceremony. My worry that our guests would get bored while waiting for us to have our wedding pictures taken could never happen here. Santorini is too beautiful a location, with the most amazing sunset in the world, giving our guests plenty to see and do. After the ceremony our group was shuttled to Sphinx Restaurant in the town of Fira for the reception. The entire wedding from the moment we arrived at the island to the day we left was incredibly fun and exciting.
The staff at Sunrocks was incredibly nice and very accommodating to our needs and that of our guests. From all the travel my wedding dress and my husband’s suit had been wrinkled. Not to worry, they had them pressed and ready for us on time. The wonderful Maria, our contact at the hotel, took care of the celebrant, flowers, bouquet and wedding cake. Our job was to relax, enjoy the island and wedding with our family and friends. The staff also outdid themselves by filling our suite with bouquets of roses and champagne as a wedding gift.
Sphinx Restaurant also went beyond my expectations. The restaurant is multilevel and we where able to have the largest balcony for our group. There was no lack of wonderful food and drinks. The staff where also incredibly nice and I hope they had fun with us as well. We had a local duo perform Greek music during the dinner and after our guests where led downstairs for more drinks and dancing.
