Having a destination wedding was a great idea, choosing Wedding Destinations to organise our wedding was an even better one! From day one we remained relaxed and enjoyed our wedding planning experience thanks to the staff at Wedding Destinations. There really isn't anything to do but choose a dress and enjoy the mounting excitement as your big day draws near. The staff at Destination Weddings do the rest!
When we arrived in Vanuatu, we were greeted by our co-ordinator who went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Our reception was gorgeous with a candle lit marquee on the lagoon, exceptional buffet meal and authentic Melanesian band. Waking up in paradise as husband and wife after the perfect wedding is an experience I will never forget. Our guests are still raving about it!

We met 5 years ago in Vanuatu. We were both holidaying on the P&O Pacific Sky and at our stop over in Vila was where we met. 5 years on and we are married… we took 18 family and friend on the P&O Pacific Sun to beautiful Vanuatu. I found it quite difficult to organize our cruise wedding until I found Wedding Destinations. They were our absolute saviors. They arranged everything from the cruise bookings to the bouquet.
During the week cruising before our wedding…we had our Hen and Buck’s night on board. The staff gave to us free bottles of champagne and were happy to help with any little request.
Our wedding was held at a tropical Island location in Vila called Erakor Island Resort. It was absolutely stunning…words cannot describe its beauty. We chose The Open Air Chapel to have the ceremony and I’m so glad we did. No other location compares with the serenity and beauty of the Chapel. Thick vegetation full of tropical plants and flower set the most gorgeous scene. After the ceremony, which we wrote ourselves, we nibbled on finger food and washed it down with some drinks in the resorts thatched roof restaurant. We also posed for photos, which were taken by our photographer’s, whom were our family and friends. We were also extremely lucky to have a professional photographer take some photos for us. He was our parents cabin neighbour onboard and was so kind enough to offer to take photos of us for free.
Then back to the boat to set sail. We enjoyed our wedding dinner with our guests in the ships restaurant. They were extremely accommodating. The Maître d' of our restaurant announced us to everyone in the dining room before we walked in. He threw rice on us for good luck and organised a wedding cake for us. Also one of the waitresses sang to us, which was so beautiful it brought a tears to our eyes. The night wasn’t over….when most of our fellow diners had left the restaurant our waiter put on a CD and we finished the night with our wedding waltz, we waltzed weaving our way around the tables. None of these wonderful events were planned before getting on the boat, so when the staff did all these kind gestures for us it was such an awesome surprise and made it so much more special and memorable. My dad was so overwhelmed he shed a tear from happiness for the wonderful moments the cruise staff gave to us, he couldn’t believe their kindness.
This was such a wonderful, memorable and life changing experience which we will never forget.

Ringing wedding destinations was the best thing we did, when we decided to marry overseas.
Not only was our wedding day stress free, but also took the planning, just a few phone calls and Wedding destinations took care of the rest.
Karan was amazing. She helped us decide on a location, accommodation, helped with all the legalities. But best of all she was fun, friendly, patient and helpful.
