I wanna go back to Wananavu ;-(
Both hubby & I cant stop thinking of our wedding day nor the whole week leading up to our wedding, the Staff of Wananavu went beyond their duties.. A massive thank you to all staff, we have been to two other resorts & Wananavu is by far the best in terms of customer service & resort presentation.. We will see you again for our 1st year anniversary.. Vinaka..

My husband and I were married at Wananavu 5 weeks ago and I think it's about time I let you all know just how amazing they were. They aren't a mainstream resort on the Coral Coast and this is exactly what attracted us to it. We wanted an experience that we could put our own touches on but was still authentically Fijian and not somewhere you could confuse for being back home in Australia. The setting at Wananavu although out of the way and a bit of a drive was spectacular.

The rooms were not 5 star resort rooms but gorgeous Fijian Bures with amazing views. We had a theme night dinners, barefoot bowling trips, fishing trips, frisbee golf tournaments, traditional dancers, spa days and lots more planned for our guests for the week. The wedding day was the most spectacular of all though with a beach ceremony perfectly set with a beautiful canopy and drinks and canapés served to our guests. Our guests entered the reception area on the beach all together with fire dancers guiding the way and then again for the arrival of the bridal party.

They also did a 45 minute breathtaking display during dessert. We had the most amazing band who I can honestly say didn't play one song all night that we didn't know. When we cut our cake that was set up on the jetty fireworks went off in the background. Then we gathered our guests on the jetty with us and each couple had a chance to release their own fire lantern. It was so beautiful watching them all float off into the distance. It really was everything we dreamed off and a hell of a lot more. The one thing I have not yet mentioned which was probably THE most impressive and important thing was the staff. The staff at Wananavu were nothing short of pure brilliance.

They all knew who we were as the bride and groom before we even met them. Their smiling faces, their willingness to keep us happy and accommodate our every desire and their laid back Fijian attitudes had us thinking of them as friends who we were really going to miss by the end of the week. Wananavu we thank you and we miss you and we will be back.
