What’s the weather like?

Krabi enjoys a tropical climate with a yearly minimum temperature of 27C. It experiences 2 seasons- hot and dry / cool and wet. However being a tropical climate weather doesn’t always go to plan and weather patterns depend heavily on the monsoon winds.

Typically though November to April is the best time to visit as this the “dry” season with March and April being the hottest months reaching temperatures of up to 37C. May – October tends to be the wetter months, particularly late September through to October where they experience prolonged rainy periods.

Tropical Climates tend to be humid & Krabi is no expection, with high humidity levels of 60%-95% year round. Jungle areas tend to be much higher humidity with coastal areas being slightly cooler thanks to sea breezes.

The dreaded rain?

May-October tend to be the wetter & cooler months in Krabi. However it is not uncommon to experience long bouts of beautiful sunny days. Late September into October is when they experience prolonged rainy periods. Just be sure to pack a light jacket for the night time, as temperatures tend to be a bit cooler, especially if you’ve been out in the sun all day.
